Quote of Note

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

: 'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free.
:
: Amen!'

Diet Sabotage

This post is for you delusionary psychotics: jealous type out there. You who think that the only reason your significant other is trying to lose weight is, because they are, or want to have an affair. Just for you the Pepperidge Farm company has hooked up with a candle maker to create Milano scented candles. Now you can sabotage any diet by leaving packages of Milano's around and fill your house with their scent. It is warfare of the ugliest kind, link smelly cheese on a mousetrap. Your lover will be off the diet and onto heart attack Porkersville in no time.

Hey, Mark! I just read the question you posted in your response to my 'Interpretive Logic: The Revelation' article. I apologize for the tardiness in responding to you if it has been a while since you left the comment. I appreciate your interest and your insights and I must say that I agree with you concerning the triune aspect of Scriptural comprehension, i.e. God speaking to us from His Triune Nature. Interestingly, it was only last week that I exhorted that very idea to the apologetics class I teach; I laid out the differences between body, mind, spirit, and soul and explained how the Lord God speaks through His Word to each level/aspect of our "being." Needless to say, those in attendance were intrigued.

If you are interested, in February I gave a message at my church entitled 'Cross Examination,' which emphasizes the necessity of examining the Cross daily. You can watch the video by clicking on the "Cross Examination" link on the right side of the page at Kainos.tv; I believe you would appreciate some of the theology and philosophy I outline.

Also, I enjoyed your most recent post, lol.
