Quote of Note

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

: 'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free.
:
: Amen!'

The Smear Campaign Against Christians and Jews

For years must of us have understood that the driving force behind the Globalization movement has been the fear of nuclear war. Of course we recognize that Satan is the provider of that fear. Those on Earth who do not know God's "perfect love, which casts out all fear", are completely controlled by that fear.
I want to present some evidence here that the above paragraph is in fact true. As I was surfing, researching an upcoming post, I came across a string of United Nations and Emergent Church dialog. Their goal is to unify all faiths through compromise, in a word: ecumenicalism
As part of that string was this lecture announcement from a group called World Future Society http://www.wfs.org/faq.htm :

The Threat of Nuclear Terrorism and the Abrahamic Religions

The gravest challenge confronting humanity’s future is the threat of nuclear terrorism. The Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam will determine whether this nightmare scenario becomes a future reality. Through 450 years of global conquest, colonialism enabled Christianity to surpass Islam as the world’s largest religion. In 1948 the United Nations created the state of Israel in the Palestinian homeland. At the start of the 21st century, continuing world expansion by Christians, ongoing struggle by Jews to preserve the state of Israel, and Muslim efforts to regain lost ground have combined to confront the global village with a potentially worse-case scenario. While the future remains developmentally open, three trends have begun to steer humanity away from the nuclear nightmare: 1) the world has gone on the offensive against terrorism; 2) contrary to some popular belief, religion is building bridges of cooperation; and 3) humanity is learning to live together peacefully amidst the pluralism of the modern world.

Who should attend: Religious persons who want to explore the relationship between religion and terrorism, as well as anyone interested in avoiding the nuclear terrorism scenario.
What you’ll learn: Attendees will learn how the Abrahamic religions have together placed the global village in its current perilous condition and how religions might contribute to a positive future filled with peace and justice rather than one of hatred and hostility.
How this knowledge can be applied: This knowledge can help participants become proactive in shaping the future in a positive way.

Now I've studied some history And I'd like to argue that it has been quite some time since that last war that was started by Judeo/Christian followers. We have certainly defended our right to a free society and with it freedom to worship the God of the Bible, but what war since The Thirty Years' War (1618–1648) has been started over our God? The answer is none!
Lets look at them Russia/Georgia: nope
Iraq 1&2: no that was about Saddam
Viet Nam: no that was cold war spread communism threat
Korea: no stop Communism again
WWII: no, stop world domination by Hitler
WWI: European internal political struggle
......Really!
Until you get to the attempt of world domination of Catholicism and the ego of various Popes you can't find a war about religion started by Christians or Jews. You can find wars fought in DEFENSE of our right to exist in freedom. What bad bad people we must be to put the world on the brink by not rolling over and playing dead!!!
